Fairmont Lions $2,500 for MRI

The annual Fairmont Lions Coy’s Golf Fun Day is in its 27th year and one of the more popular golf events in the Fairmont area. The charitable purpose of this event has made a difference to many charities over the years.

This year’s event hosted on June 4th was no exception, with the Fairmont & District Lions Club making two exceptional gifts.  The first was a $2,500 donation to the Family Dynamix in Invermere and the second a $2,500 gift to East Kootenay Foundation for Health.

The EKFH donation is among the first to support the recently announced permanent MRI to be located at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital.

“The Fairmont Lions are proud to be among the first to support the EKFH MRI Campaign. This is truly a much needed piece of equipment that will have a great impact on improving healthcare services in the East Kootenay”, said Mike Tanguay, President.

The EKFH Campaign to raise $650,000 towards the MRI will be announced in the coming weeks. If you would like to be among the first to donate to bringing this essential piece of diagnostic equipment to the East Kootenay please click here.
