Golf Group Gives Second Hug for Warm Embrace Campaign

October 15, 2024

The “Dolls with Balls” women’s golf group playing out of the Wildstone Golf Course are pleased to present EKFH’s Warm Embrace Campaign with a donation of $1,077. This is their second donation to the project with gifts from the golfers totaling over $1,500 towards the NICU project at East Kootenay Regional Hospital.

The funds were raised through winning donations from the gals regular Monday golf league, annual clothing sales, and personal donations.

Pat McInnes, organizer for the group of 36 golfers, says, “Our ladies golf group are a wonderful bunch of women who like to give back to our community. We like to support other women and children, so giving back to the NICU campaign was a perfect choice.”

Thanks to “Dolls with Balls” and other fundraisers in the community this fall, EKFH will be proudly completing the Warm Embrace Campaign soon.

EKFH is so grateful for the support of everyone who has supported the campaign to bring a NICU home to the East Kootenay. They will be accepting donations towards the Warm Embrace Campaign until the end of 2024. Any funds raised over the $1.8 million campaign goal will go towards further supporting our tiniest patients through neonatal and pediatric care improvements at East Kootenay Regional Hospital.
