Portable Ultrasounds for Sparwood Health Centre & Elkford Health Centre
We are raising funds to purchase portable ultrasounds for use at the Sparwood Health Centre and the Elkford Health Centre. These units can be easily operated by nurses and physicians, rather than requiring specialized techs, to provide immediate results to patients receiving care in both Sparwood and Elkford. This will improve diagnostics and treatment at both sites. In many circumstances, the details provided by these portable units will also save patients from long waitlist waits and travel to Cranbrook for medical imaging results at East Kootenay Regional Hospital.
Each unit costs around $80,000. Donate, share, and spread the word to help bring better health care home to the Elk Valley!
