Cranbrook Ladies 2-Ball Tourney $550 supports Mammography

Cranbrook, BC… On July 17 members of the Cranbrook Ladies Golf Club hosted its annual 2-Ball Golf Tournament. With golfers from all over the East Kootenay attending, the organizing committee also set a task to recognize and show their support with a financial gift to the A Clear View campaign.

With all the tournament expenses accounted for, current club President Pat McInnes asked East Kootenay Foundation for Health’s Executive Director Donna Grainger to join them in a cheque presentation of $550 for the fundraising campaign.

Although the $1 million two-year campaign made its goal just recently any additional funds that have come in are being held in-trust for digital mammography and any incidentals that may be required after the equipment arrives at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital.

“Our Ladies Club appreciates the efforts of the hospital foundation to bring this leading-edge technology to our area. The benefit for breast cancer patients is crucial and we are pleased to play a part in that success,” says McInnes.

All funding confirmations are in and the equipment is to be ordered shortly, a time frame for delivery to the East Kootenay Regional Hospital has not been determined at this time.
