EKFH to host “A Taste of Africa” event to close Starlite Campaign

Cranbrook, BC… For the past three years, the East Kootenay Foundation for Health and its star sponsor the East Kootenay Community Credit Union host an annual campaign launch to kick off the Starlite Campaign for Excellence in Health Care campaign.This year EKFH wants to go one step further by also hosting a Starlite Campaign closing event. This year the fundraising committee and board have decided to entitle the event “A Taste of Africa”.

The EKFH Board of Directors together with event hosts Dr. Gertjan & Marina Simons are cordially inviting the pubic to a reception to celebrate the contributions of our medical teams originally from South Africa and the completion of the 2010 Starlite Campaign for Excellence in Health Care.

The evening will feature an awe-inspiring video of South Africa, cultural displays featuring music and artwork, delicious tastings of African delicacies such as biltong, sasaties, peri-peri, malva pudding and more; all complimented by South African wine & liqueur tastings.

  • Tickets: $35 per person (a $10 charitable receipt will be issued)
