Former Board Member’s Volunteer Hours Recognized by RBC

Submitted by EKFH on 01-10-2013 Cranbrook, BC…  After fourteen years as a dedicated board member at East Kootenay Foundation for Health, newly retired director Cindy Yates asked Executive Director Donna Grainger to drop in to her office for a final surprise.   Recognizing her long standing service to the Board and the Finance, Audit & Investment Committee, the RBC Foundation was proud to send a gift of $750 as a thank you for Yates’ commitment to the community in 2012/2013 for Cindy’s chosen charity – EKFH. The donation is being dedicated to the unrestricted general fund giving members of the EKFH Board the opportunity to allocate its use to the area of greatest need, something the former board member supported on an annual basis over the past several years.   Although Yates has left her formal position on the board, she is continuing as a consummate volunteer and working with Grainger as a Volunteer Coordinator.   The two hope to enhance the current volunteer pool for the foundation’s many activities and projects. If you are interested in lending a helping hand, please give EKFH a call at 250 489-6481.
