‘Glam’ Slam for the ‘Mam’ Hits Kimberley Links

Submitted by EKFH on 18-07-2012 Kimberley, BC…  The Kimberley Ladies Golf Club is inviting all female golfers to don their most glamorous golf attire and to join them on Tuesday, July 31 for their Ladies Day all in support of raising funds for the A Clear View ~ digital mammography campaign.   Barbara Thompson, Event Coordinator says the day is about having fun and being glamorous while raising funds to support individuals who may receive a breast cancer diagnosis.   “Although this is a golf event it really isn’t about that, you don’t need a handicap and we encourage our members to bring a guest and for others to come out to support a very important cause,” explains Barb.   The event features a shotgun start at 8:30 am – entry fee is $52 for  18-holes of golf, with cart, on the beautiful Kimberley Course.   Lunch only is available for $15 and will be served at 2:00 pm.    To register you can email:  [email protected] or phone 250.427-7332 or use the Ladies Day sign-up sheet at the course.  If coming for lunch only please email or phone.   East Kootenay Foundation for Health publically launched the A Clear View campaign in October 2011 with a fundraising goal of raising $1 million in 2-years.   In just 10 months the support from every corner of the East Kootenay Region has pledges and donations surpassing the $825,000 mark.     Breast Cancer Month (October 2012) is just three months away and with the continued support of people and organizations like you, history can be made one year early to bring a digital stereotactic mammography unit to the East Kootenay Regional Hospital.   To help EKFH achieve this goal please consider a donation today, visit www.aclearview.ca.
