ICU snapd, a Hockey Night in Cranbrook – Dec 12

Submitted by EKFH on 26-11-2014

Cranbrook, BC… snapd East Kootenay, Janice Sommerfeld and her team, are joining up with the Kootenay ICE to do a little something something for EKFH and its Starlite Campaign.

At the December 12 game, snapd will be inviting hockey fans to make a donation or bid on auction items as part of its ICU snapd event. Just like being on a red carpet snapd photographers accompanied by EKFH volunteers and donation boxes will be snapping up photos before and between periods. Some of those lucky fans will see their smiling faces in the January edition of the snapd paper.

Other facets of the ICU snapd event include a $500 Starlite donation from the Kootenay ICE to Starlite, a silent auction thanks to the generosity of the business community (Cranbrook Street Liquor Store, Dakota Freight, Heritage Inn, Investors Group, SaveOn Foods & Toyota) and one very special Starlite personality.

You may remember him shooting for a star in the past and his efforts as a WHL Humanitarian. ICE alumni Matt Fraser continues to show his giving spirit by once again getting behind the EKFH Starlite Campaign with an authorized autographed Fraser  photo and puck donated by the player and the Bruins organization up for grabs.

There will be lots of cameras snapping between 1 and 2 period as well, when the ICU snapd Turkey, Bedpan and IV Pole race takes place on ice with two fans taking part in the action. Thanks to SaveOn Foods for providing the holiday birds for the race.

All proceeds for the evening are being donated by snapd East Kootenay to bring critical support for intensive care and the Starlite Campaign.

We hope to see you there and bring your best smile (and if possible a donation). Mark your calendar, Friday, December 12 – Kootenay ICE versus Prince Albert, tickets available at Western Financial Place. ICU snapd, a bit of holiday magic.
