In Memory Gift of $11,100 – Remembers the Past

May 14, 2010 … This gift to the Foundation is in memory of an old friend is to be used to purchase a ceiling lift for the 3rd floor medical unit at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital.

Details L-R: A cheque in the amount of $11,100 from friends of Miss Betty Carnahan is presented by Interior Health’s Ryan Comishin, Acute Care Coordinator to East Kootenay Foundation for Health’s Judy Gall, RN (Director) and Donna Grainger (Executive Director).

Miss Carnahan was born and raised in the Crowsnest Pass of Alberta and earned her Nurse’s Degree at the St. Eugene Hospital School of Nursing in Cranbrook in 1942. She nursed for over 30 years in BC and Alberta, returning to Blairmore to care for her parents. Miss Carnahan passed away in August 2008.   East Kootenay Foundation for Health and its In-Memoriam and Planned Giving Programs offer the opportunity to recognize a loved one through a gift now or a legacy gift in the future.
