IT’S BACK – TIM HORTONS SMILE COOKIE WEEK
Annual Smile Cookie campaign launches on September 14th in support of Healthcare
CRANBROOK, BC – September 10, 2015 – Tim Hortons is bringing more smiles to Cranbrook with the kickoff of the annual Smile Cookie campaign. For one week starting on Monday, Tim Hortons guests can purchase a freshly baked chocolate chunk Smile Cookie for $1 at participating restaurants in Cranbrook, with 100 percent of the proceeds proudly donated by Tim Hortons Restaurant Owners to support the Cranbrook Health Care Auxiliary and EKFH.
“We are thrilled to bring the annual Smile Cookie campaign back to our Cranbrook stores in support of the auxiliary and foundation,” shares Matt Gareau, Tim Hortons Restaurant Owner in Cranbrook. “Thanks to our loyal guests and their ongoing support proceeds from the cookie campaign is able to purchase much-needed medical equipment for the East Kootenay Regional Hospital. This makes us very proud!”
This year’s campaign will fund the purchase of a portable cordless drill set for the orthopedic department. This type of surgical equipment gives surgeons unmatched precision and reliability. The orthopedic surgery tool is powerful and lightweight and features a single hand piece for drilling, reaming, and sawing.
The delicious smile cookies can be purchased at both Tim Hortons locations, from the Cranbrook Health Care Auxiliary (in the hospital lobby or at the thrift shop) or through pre-orders from East Kootenay Foundation for Health (call 250 489-6481 or email:foundationsEK@interiorhealth.ca).
What began as a way to fundraise for the Hamilton Children’s Hospital in Ontario in 1996, has grown into a major fundraising event across North America.
