L-R: Dave Clark presents Donna Grainger with a gift of $2,500 as a tribute to his wife Ione

When the A Clear View – digital mammography campaign was first launched there was no doubt in the mind of Dave Clark, an investment advisor with Investors Group that he wanted to make a special gift in honour of his late wife Ione.

“As the holidays approached our family decided we wanted to make a charitable legacy gift in Ione’s name that would mean something special for her. Since she had worked at the regional hospital for over 20 years we felt that the work East Kootenay Foundation for Health was undertaking for the digital mammography campaign was a perfect fit,” explains Dave.

In addition to the Clark family gift of $1,500, Dave also asked Investors Group to consider making a matching gift of $1,000 in support of the cause.

In the end, the dream of a $2,500 legacy gift for Ione was realized.
