RBC Matching Gift for Volunteering ($500) aids Creston Maternity

Submitted by EKFH on 26-05-2014

Cranbrook, BC… The Creston Hospital’s maternity unit received a welcome gift of $500 thanks to the volunteer efforts of Cranbrook’s Cindy Yates.

Yates, a former board member with East Kootenay Foundation for Health, designated her RBC Investments matching gift for volunteering hours spent in the community to the maternity unit as a way of saying thanks because her children were born at the Creston Hospital.

The tradition of giving back to health care has become a passion for the RBC Investment broker and although not formally sitting on the EKFH board she continues to be a consummate volunteer for the regional hospital foundation.

EKFH would like to thank Cindy for choosing EKFH and the Creston Hospital as her charitable cause.

Whether it is an annual gift, supporting an ongoing capital campaign, honouring a loved one, paying tribute to someone for their care or participating in one of the many events in support of EKFH, a gift to health care can make a difference in the lives of others.
