Rotary Club of Creston Valley $10,000 Kick off for Ventilator

Creston, BC…   Over the past several years the Creston Valley Hospital has focused on enhancements to its emergency department.    The renovations to the department focused on improvements that ensure patient-centered care and an enhanced working environment for staff.

With the renovations now complete the department has identified the need for a Hamilton T1 Ventilator for the unit.   This ventilator is the most advanced mechanical ventilator available today with a number of unique features:  it is the first ventilator featuring the “ventilator autopilot” that automatically controls the patient’s ventilation and oxygenation based on targets set by the medical teams.

The Creston Valley Hospital together with the East Kootenay Foundation for Health is encouraging the local community to assist in fundraising the $76,000 for the equipment.  The first group to step forward is the Rotary Club of Creston Valley with a $10,000 gift.
