Cranbrook/Kimberley, BC….

Photo Details: Shoppers Drug Mart Associate Owners Jeannie Ewasiuk (Cranbrook) and Allan Yee (Kimberley) take time out of very busy schedules to celebrate Shoppers Drug Mart Life Foundation’s $5,000 gift to the A Clear View ~ digital mammography campaign.    To help elevate the vital importance of women’s health to where it deserves to be, Shoppers Drug Mart has made an ongoing commitment to the health of Canadian women in body, mind & spirit.   An important and very rewarding measure of its success is being able to reinvest in the communities they serve through the Shoppers Drug Mart Life Foundation.     The current mammography unit is eleven years old and utilizes soon to be out-of-date film technology. The current unit also does not allow minimally invasive image guided biopsy. The arrival of a new digital stereotactic mammography unit will help the East Kootenay Regional Hospital become a centre of excellence in breast cancer screening and diagnostics.     EKFH would like to thank the Shoppers Drug Mart Life Foundation and its national program for coming to the support of regional health care in the East Kootenay. If you haven’t made a donation yet, why not do so today by visiting www.aclearview.ca.
