Skookumchuck, BC… The A Clear View ~ digital mammography campaign received another amazing gift this week when representatives for the Tembec Skookumchuck Operations employees presented EKFH with a cheque of $4,275.

“This is an exciting day for us at Tembec and for its Occupational Health & Safety Committee,” shares Tony Parchomchuk, 2nd Vice President PPWC Local 15 & OH&S Co-chair. “The OH&S Committee agreed to donate a portion of annual safety bonuses to what we think is an excellent campaign. It also has special meaning for me personally as my mother is a cancer survivor and my sister is currently undergoing breast cancer treatments,” adds Parchomchuk.

The Tembec Skookumchuck gift brings the campaign to just over $894,000 towards its 2-year one-million dollar goal.

Generosity from people, businesses and organizations from all over the region is making a significant impact on the ability to have the best in breast cancer care right here in the East Kootenay. If you or someone you know has received a breast cancer diagnosis, support for the A Clear View campaign will truly impact their journey.
